How important is it for you to retain your cultural foods as you move forward in life? Explain the importance and which foods you cannot live without.

I think cultural foods are very important because they say a little about you an what you like and what your family and friends like to eat. Foods are important to people because they are essential for life and foods that are common in your culture are nice because the people are used to them and they make you feel at home. Today we did an assignment on foods on important days and times in the year.

What is the most important aspect of your identiy? Tell what it is and why.

I believe the most important aspect of my identity is what I believe in and how I use that to turn into the best person possible to others and myself. It is important to have your own identity because it is how you stand out. today I was absent we did a identity mask.

How would you feel if your privacy was invaded online or on your phone? Do you think privacy is a basic civil liberty?

I would not feel good about that unless I knew that person closely or gave them permission. I believe that privacy is a basic civil liberty because everyone wants and deserves some concept of it. Today we talked about a person's freedoms and rights as a citizen. I learned that cops cannot always search you without a valid, stated reason.

Describe what you did over the winter break.

My winter break was pretty entertaining and I got a lot of stuff done and learned new things. I had this impediment about learning how to handstand and I finally completed it. It was imperative that we took a trip to a beach too. me, my dad and some friends went to California to surf and enjoy the ocean. We booked a hotel and then we tried to change it to a nicer one but it was immutable and unable to be changed. We later in the trip impinged on some beach volleyball games with some other people and won. I tried to importune with my friends to get the water after we played but they weren't up for it and said the water was too cold. It was a successful trip and I got stronger and worked out and trained all week.

Describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about.

A perfect day with someone I care about would definitely be at the coast somewhere near the water or at some sporting event. I would like to get up and go on a run then go dip in the ocean. Then I would eat a big breakfast somewhere with that person. Then we would go out and play some sports together like tennis or volleyball, then we would hop in a sauna or cold plunge somewhere then we would go workout at the gym. And nearing the end of the day I would like to spend it by the ocean watching the sunset and eating a nice dinner. I feel like this day would be the best with someone I care about because we can work at a team playing sports and competitions and we can also spend time calmly with just us. Today we finished and turned in presentations.

What is your American Dream? What do you like most about America?

My American dream is that I would love to play professional sports and reach peak fitness levels or be in some health business with athletics and training. I've always been pulled to something along the lines of that. What I like most about America is that it is a place of opportunity where if you put in the work and really strain to do well, you can achieve that. Today we worked on a presentation and I learned more about farmers in Great depression era.

Describe a time when someone offended you with their words.

A time when someone offended me with their words was when I played this game many years back with my brother where we would fight with sticks and see who could hit each other first. We would play tournaments with our friends and I would often meet with him in the finals and I would lose and lose and try so hard to win but always lose in every encounter. Then he would brag and tell me over and over that I cant beat him and that I'm a loser. That hurt but I finally started winning a little, which was one of the best feelings ever. Today we did a lesson about learning that people words can harm people inside.

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

Life skills that I have learned from Lakeside is try to always be kind to the people around you like peers and teachers because that builds respect and loyalty which can lead to helping each other out. Another life skill is that you have to try to be your best person and thrive to be better than others too, that will help with independent living, trying to do better and exceed and try harder and train harder than others. Also work with friends to build and to build each other up always helps one go further. I think skills that are essential are teamwork, trying, not giving in to what others are doing, staying true to your morals, learning around you, sticking to the right crowd. Today we did a Newsela article and I learned more about the Bill of Rights.

It's Super Bowl weekend! Some people watch the Super Bowl for football, others for the commercials, and some just for the halftime show. What’s your favorite part of big events like this, and why?

I think the best part of big events like this is to have an honest, great time with family and friends. Because it brings people together by watching or doing exciting things. Especially when it is competitive then everyone can come together and have a great time and compete in games which builds character and friendship. Today I am sick so I am not in class.

What do you think are your biggest strengths as a speaker? What challenges do you face when presenting in front of an audience?

I think my biggest strengths are being loud and focused. I think some of the main challenges that I need to work on is being more confident and having a more calm sense of mind and body. I also need to work on changing the nervousness and adrenaline into improvement and locking in and relaxing. Today we did presentations and I learned more about the book.

If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

My poem about my life right now would be about consistency. I've been more consistent than ever in my life. I am consistent in studies. I am consistent in healthy eating. I am consistent with training. I am consistent in reading the bible and relationships and close friends. I need to get better at many things but my main thing in life that can always get better is consistency and that is the most important factor of my life. today we made a poem about Jeffersons diary. it was weird because you have to anaylze and understand his Grammer.

Describe a time when you had to speak in front of an audience. What were your fears? How did you handle them? What advice would you give to someone struggling with stage fright.

A time I had to speak In front of an audience is when I was at my middle school; Intown Community School. We would present many times a year because they really wanted to instill the training and talking to the class and to strangers that will help us in the aspects of life that will come with communicating with confidence and composure. My fears will failing and forgetting what I had prepped. I handled them by using my adrenaline to turn it into confidence. I would say the advice I will give would be to tell them that they need to not overthink it, just focus on the main points, being confident, and most importantly being calm and collected. Today we did presentation learning and turned it all in.

Imagine it's the year 2050. What does the world look like? How have technology, society, and the environment changed?

I think the world would definetly more modern and futuristic looking. I think that technology, and society will be more enhanced and that the environment will most likely be negatively affected and it would be full of pollution and gases and in need of purity. I think that people will get lazier because technology will do everything for them and it will be hard for them to evolve into something that people once were no matter their circumstances. Today we did the planning sheet again.
